By GameChanger Media Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen fell 15-9 to Northridge Junior Varsity Raiders on Friday at Northridge High School despite out-hitting them 14 to 13. Gavin Franks led Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen with three hits. Northridge Junior Varsity Raiders were the first to get on the board in the first when Tucker Baber drew a walk, scoring one run. Northridge Junior Varsity Raiders added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen committed an error, and Tucker Baber tripled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Northridge Junior Varsity Raiders scored seven runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Jacob Lehman drew a walk, scoring one run, Tucker Baber singled, scoring one run, Michael Pointon drew a walk, scoring one run, Chase Garman was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Collin Hauser singled, scoring two runs, and Jacob Lehman hit into a double play, but one run scored. Tucker Baber earned the win for Northridge Junior Varsity Raiders. The starting pitcher surrendered eight hits and five runs over four and one-third innings, striking out four and walking three. Jack Taylor took the loss for Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen.
