By GameChanger Media Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen defeated Northridge Freshman Raiders 15-2 on Tuesday thanks in part to eight runs in the fourth inning. Noah Valdez doubled, scoring one run, Abel Marte singled, scoring one run, N Muir induced Gaeton Groninger to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, N Muir induced Dominic Fazio to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Liam Summers drew a walk, scoring one run, Noah Valdez drew a walk, scoring one run, and M Squilers induced Johnny Huemmer to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored. Northridge Freshman Raiders got on the board in the second inning after a passed ball scored one run. Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 6-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Carson Gorsuch that drove in three. A fielder's choice by Carson Gorsuch extended the Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen lead to 7-1 in the bottom of the third inning. Landon Rose earned the win for Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen. The righty gave up three hits and two runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out seven and walking five. N Muir took the loss for Northridge Freshman Raiders. The hurler went two and one-third innings, allowing nine runs on four hits, striking out two and walking five. N Swartzendruber led things off on the bump for Northridge Freshman Raiders. The hurler gave up five hits and six runs (five earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out three and walking three. Carson Gorsuch tossed one inning of scoreless ball for Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen in relief. The hurler allowed zero hits, striking out two and walking none. Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen piled up nine hits in the game. Abel Marte, Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen's number seven hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Carson Gorsuch led Mishawaka Freshman Cavemen with three runs batted in. The leadoff hitter went 1-for-3 on the day.
